A shared, temporary clipboard. Do not enter passwords or private information. Who can see my text?

A practical tool by Ravindra Yadav

QuickClip by Ravindra Yadav: Free Online Clipboard

QuickClip by Ravindra Yadav is a free online clipboard for sharing text, Nepali notes and web links between devices. Move a link or AI prompt from your phone to your laptop without sending yourself a message. Open QuickClip on both devices, paste your text and wait for it to save. No account, room code, QR scan or app installation is needed.

QuickClip matches devices using the internet connection visible to the server. This often works on the same Wi-Fi, but it is not a guaranteed Wi-Fi-only connection. Use it for temporary, non-sensitive text and keep important originals elsewhere.

How to share text between your phone and computer

01

Open on both devices

Visit this page on your phone and laptop. Start with the same Wi-Fi connection.

02

Paste and wait for “Saved”

Add your text or web link. QuickClip saves after you pause typing.

03

Copy or open the link

Read the text on your other device. Use Refresh to check sooner, or click a detected link above the editor.

For your first test, use a harmless phrase such as “Namaste, Nepal”. Confirm it appears on both devices before sharing longer notes. If it does not, check the network troubleshooting answers below.

Small tasks that QuickClip can make easier

Study notes and resource links

Move a reading link or study question between your phone and computer. Unicode Nepali and English can be used together.

Captions and short drafts

Write a caption on your laptop, then copy it on your phone. QuickClip moves plain text; it does not rewrite or publish your content.

Public links during a session

Share an exercise link with a small group after testing their connection. Ask one person to edit at a time to avoid competing changes.

Looking for an SSavr alternative for text and links?

If you use Simple.Savr (SSavr) to move short text between devices, QuickClip is another option for that specific task. It focuses on a shared text editor, clickable links, Nepali and English text, and a light or dark appearance.

The tools do not offer identical features. Simple.Savr's official FAQ describes file uploads, device linking across networks and a separate secret-note feature. QuickClip does not provide those features. Choose it for temporary, non-sensitive text and links when automatic connection matching works for your devices.

QuickClip is independently provided by Ravindra Yadav. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Simple.Savr. No comparative speed or security advantage is claimed.

QuickClip FAQs and troubleshooting

What is QuickClip by Ravindra Yadav?

QuickClip is Ravindra Yadav's free online shared clipboard for temporarily moving text and web links between devices. You can use it for Nepali notes, English drafts, AI prompts and public resource links without an account. Its official page is on ravindrayadav.com.np; it is not connected to other products that use a similar name.

Is QuickClip an alternative to SSavr or Simple.Savr?

It can be an alternative for the narrower task of sharing non-sensitive text and links between devices on a supported connection. It is not a complete replacement for SSavr's file uploads, cross-network linking or secret notes. QuickClip does not promise faster syncing or stronger security. Test a harmless phrase on both devices before relying on automatic matching.

What is an online shared clipboard?

An online shared clipboard temporarily stores text so another device can retrieve it through a website. QuickClip is designed for short notes, prompts and links, rather than permanent documents. It does not automatically read your device clipboard: you choose what to paste into the editor.

Is QuickClip free to use in Nepal?

Yes. QuickClip is free to use without an account or paid AI subscription. It is designed for everyday text-sharing tasks for learners, creators and professionals in Nepal and elsewhere. You still need internet access, and successful automatic sharing depends on how your network presents each device to the server.

Can I copy Nepali and English text between devices?

Yes. QuickClip supports Unicode Nepali, English and mixed-language text. It keeps your input as plain text and does not translate or change its meaning. A legacy-font document may need Unicode conversion before its Nepali text displays correctly. Nepali characters and emoji can use more bytes than English letters, so the size limit is not the same as a fixed number of words.

Do I need an account, a room code or a QR code?

No. Open the same QuickClip page on both devices. The service attempts to group them automatically by their internet connection. You do not need to create or send a room link. That convenience also means the shared clipboard is not a private, authenticated space.

Why do two devices on the same Wi-Fi show different text?

A website cannot directly check your Wi-Fi name. VPNs, mobile data, privacy relays, different IPv4 and IPv6 connections, and some office networks can make devices appear separate. Confirm that both devices use the intended connection, then press Refresh. Do not disable required workplace security tools to make sharing work. Some networks will not match reliably.

Who can see or edit the shared clipboard?

Other people grouped under the same internet connection may read, replace or clear the text. Some internet providers share a public address between unrelated customers, so access is not guaranteed to be limited to your home or office Wi-Fi. Never paste passwords, authentication codes, bank details, confidential client work or private access links. Treat QuickClip as a shared convenience tool, not private messaging.

How does automatic saving and refreshing work?

The editor attempts to save shortly after you stop typing. “Saved” means the server has confirmed that change. While the tab is visible, it checks periodically for shared updates. Background checking pauses when the tab is hidden. The Refresh button checks sooner; if you have a draft waiting to save, it tries to save that first.

What happens if two people edit at the same time?

If the server reports a version conflict, QuickClip keeps your local draft visible and asks you to choose. Preview the shared text, then select “Use shared text” to replace your draft or “Keep my draft” to attempt to save yours. Copy anything important elsewhere before choosing. The tool does not merge two people's writing into one document.

How long is my text kept?

The configured clipboard expires about 24 hours after the latest successful edit. Another edit restarts that period; reading the text does not. This is temporary storage, not a backup service. An already-open browser can still display a previously loaded copy until its next successful refresh. Keep important work in your own notes or documents.

What should I do if it says “Not saved” or “Offline”?

Do not reload immediately. Copy your draft somewhere safe, check your internet connection and press Refresh. The interface keeps your draft while it retries a failed request. If errors continue, report the error message, your browser and whether one or both devices are affected. Do not send sensitive clipboard contents.

Why is the Copy button not working?

Some browsers restrict clipboard access. Click Copy directly rather than expecting automatic copying. If access is blocked, QuickClip selects the text so you can use your device's normal Copy command, such as Ctrl+C, Command+C or the mobile selection menu. The site should be opened over HTTPS.

How do clickable links work?

QuickClip looks for web addresses starting with https://, http:// or www. and lists up to 20 unique links above the text box. Click a link to open it in a new tab. The tool does not automatically visit, preview or verify a website. Check the destination before opening it; unusually formatted links may need to be copied manually.

Can I upload PDFs, images, videos or other files?

No. This version shares plain text and web links only. You can paste a public file link, but QuickClip does not upload that file or change its sharing permissions. Keeping uploads out helps the tool stay focused and lightweight.

Does QuickClip work offline or permanently save my notes?

No. Syncing needs an internet connection. Text already visible in an open tab can remain there during a connection problem, but it is not a permanent saved note. Closing or reloading an unsaved draft can lose it. QuickClip stores your shared content on its server temporarily; it is not an offline-only clipboard.

Can I use QuickClip for an AI class or team workshop?

Yes, for non-sensitive prompts and public links after testing with the group. Shared networks and request limits can affect larger sessions, so keep a backup way to distribute links and avoid everyone editing at once.
