How to create a QR code
- Choose a type. Start with a website link or select Wi-Fi, Contact, Text, Email or Phone.
- Enter your information. The preview updates automatically. Colors, styles and a logo are optional.
- Download and test. Choose PNG for everyday use or SVG for print. Scan your final design to confirm the information.
Choose the QR code for your task
- Link / URL
- Open a website, form, public document or social profile. The destination must remain available.
- Wi-Fi
- Share a network name and password without typing them. Anyone with the QR can access those details.
- Contact / vCard
- Share a name, phone, email, organization and website so someone can save your contact.
- Plain text
- Store a short message, instructions or notes. Text can be read without opening a website.
- Prepare an email address, subject and message. The person scanning decides whether to send it.
- Phone
- Open a number in the phone app. Include the country code for international use.
Customize without losing clarity
Match the QR color to your brand, choose square or rounded patterns, and add a small logo only if you need one. LipiQR preserves the clear space around the code and uses stronger error correction for logos. Dark QR patterns on a light background are the safest starting point.
Private static QR codes
Your information and uploaded logo are processed in your browser. LipiQR does not send them to a generation service or save them in a database. Only your theme preference is remembered locally. The website host still receives normal page and asset requests.
Static QR codes store your information directly. They have no LipiQR expiration date, scan limit or redirect dependency. A linked website can still change or go offline, and changing encoded information requires a new QR image.
Create QR codes offline
Open LipiQR online once and wait for “Ready for offline use.” On supported browsers, you can then reopen this page or the installed app without internet and create, customize and download all six QR types. Clearing browser data may remove offline access. Opening a linked website, sending email or making a call still depends on the destination and your device’s connectivity.
Scanning and printing tips
- Keep the QR dark and the background light. Avoid placing it over a busy image.
- Preserve the clear margin around the code when adding it to a flyer.
- Use SVG for sharp professional printing. Do not stretch a small PNG.
- Long text and contact details produce denser codes. Give them more space.
- Test the final printed size with more than one phone, including in the expected lighting.
Frequently asked questions
What is LipiQR?
LipiQR is a free static QR code generator for links, Wi-Fi, contacts, text, email and phone numbers. It creates QR images on your device and exports PNG or SVG without an account.
Who developed LipiQR?
LipiQR was created by Ravindra Yadav, an AI educator, applied AI researcher, corporate AI trainer and creator of practical digital tools.
Is LipiQR free? Do I need an account?
Yes. You can create and download static QR codes for free without signing up. There is no LipiQR scan limit or watermark.
Do my QR codes expire?
The generated static code has no expiry and does not depend on LipiQR remaining online. Its destination still matters: a removed website or changed Wi-Fi password will make the encoded information outdated.
Can I use LipiQR offline?
Yes, after the app has loaded online and shows “Ready for offline use,” on a browser that supports service workers. You can create and download QR images offline. Installation is optional; reopening the cached page also works.
Is my QR content stored?
LipiQR does not upload or persist form contents or logos. Your theme setting and application files may be stored on the device. Downloaded QR files contain the information you entered, so share them appropriately.
Can I add a logo?
Yes. Open Customize and choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP image. No logo is added by default. LipiQR limits its size and increases error correction, but you should still test the final QR.
Should I choose PNG or SVG?
PNG is convenient for documents and social posts. SVG scales without pixelation and is useful for print and design software. A logo embedded in SVG remains a raster image.
Why is my QR code not scanning?
Check contrast, clear margins, image sharpness, logo coverage and printed size. Try the standard square pattern and remove the logo. Test another phone and make sure the encoded link is correct.
What size should I print?
There is no single size that fits every code. Density, scanning distance, printer resolution and lighting matter. A short URL at around 2–3 cm wide is a useful starting point for close scanning, but confirm with a real printed test.
Can I change a QR code after printing?
The data in a static QR cannot be changed. If it points to a page you control, you can update that page’s content while keeping the URL. LipiQR does not provide dynamic redirects or scan analytics.
