Gen AI Training for Bachelor Students at Presidential Graduate School

In June 2026, I led an AI fluency workshop at Presidential Graduate School for students in its Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) programme. We explored how AI works, practised using Claude and ChatGPT, and put ideas into action through live demonstrations and group tasks.

What I enjoyed most was the energy in the room. Students joined the discussions, experimented with the tools, and brought their own ideas to the activities. The interaction made the session as enjoyable for me as the teaching itself.

From live demonstrations to student-built solutions

During the group activity, I assigned a task and asked students to brainstorm possible solutions. They worked together to turn their ideas into quick tools and prototypes within the session.

It was encouraging to see different groups take different approaches. The activity gave students a chance to connect the demonstrations with a problem they needed to solve, rather than simply follow along.

Ravindra Yadav led an AI fluency workshop for BSIT students at Presidential Graduate School, covering prompting, responsible AI use and hands-on group projects.

Prompting, Claude, and ChatGPT in practice

We covered effective prompting, more advanced prompting techniques, and features of Claude and ChatGPT. I also shared practical guidance on managing context and token use in Claude.

Live demonstrations and interaction helped connect these topics to the students’ own experiments.

Responsible AI use was part of the conversation

Alongside the practical work, we discussed AI fundamentals, ethical use, and checking information that may be misleading or false. Verifying information was an important part of the session, not something separate from learning the tools.

Thank you to Presidential Graduate School and the BSIT students for the participation and enthusiasm. Seeing students build their own solutions is one of the parts of AI education I enjoy most.
